Find us on East Main Street in Lexington, right by Icehouse Amphitheater, in the downtown Main Street area. It's a smaller, more intimate room than some of our other venues, so groups tend to feel close-knit — you'll see company parties and birthday parties during the week, weekend walk-ins filling up lanes, and our league regulars keeping things competitive. A couple of weeks ago, two women came in and we found out while talking to them that they were teachers. At first they couldn't get the hang of throwing, so we stayed with them and walked them through it. Once it clicked, they started sticking throws — we were cheering them on — and before they left they said it was the most fun they'd had in a while and that they wanted to become regulars. The streets around us can be a little confusing the first time because of the one-way layout. There's parking behind the building, and if that's full, there's more parking across by the amphitheater.

You might be slightly hesitant after a friend invited you to Craft Axe Throwing — don’t be. We’ve trained everyone from 10 to 85 years old to safely throw and have fun.

Each facility features individual lanes and HDTVs to compliment the sports bar. Here’s how to get started.

Step 01

Reserve a lane

Online in two minutes. Walk-ins welcome when there's an opening, but weekend slots fill fast.
Step 02

Show up & sign in

Closed-toe shoes, anyone you're bringing, and the waiver. We'll have an axe waiting.
Step 03

Get coached

Fifteen minutes with a real coach: grip, stance, release. First-timers stick the bullseye on day one.
Step 04

Throw your hour

Up to 4 throwers per lane. Most groups stay longer than they planned. No outside drinks — we have a bar.

Our sanctioned league play through the World Axe Throwing League (opens in a new tab) is a fun and exciting way to get involved in the sport of axe throwing. Whether you are a seasoned pro or a beginner, our leagues offer a great opportunity to challenge yourself and have a blast with friends and fellow axe throwers.

Each league runs for a total of eight weeks and includes a weekly competition night where you will compete against other league members. Reach out to us or talk to your axe instructor on how you can get involved!
